Interlink Counseling Services Homeless Veteran Christmas Year-long Fundraiser…
It may seem like an odd fundraiser at this time of the year, considering Christmas is 146 days away. But at Interlink we are committed to making Christmas a joyful and meaningful experience for every homeless veteran in our program. Each one receives a complete new outfit of clothes from head to toe! Their Christmas stockings also contain calendars, pens, and numerous treats and goodies. What an overwhelming job Santa faces when he looks at our Christmas wish list!
Trying to clothe our homeless veterans is a daunting task – especially if we wait until December to begin collecting these items or have to carry the financial burden alone.
Providing Christmas cheer, gifts, and meals to our veterans is probably the most important reason we began the fundraiser to “Adopt-a-Vet” as early as possible! Christmas is one of our most important holidays because it holds a special place in our homeless veterans’ memories. For some veterans, their Christmas at Interlink Counseling Services is one of the most joyous times of their lives.
To fill the stockings and gather the gifts, we need a great deal of support. As a result, we need your help this year to become Santa’s helper and “Adopt-a-Vet” for Christmas.
Christmas comes but once a year, but the effort at Interlink is continuous. Every day is important in the life of Interlink’s homeless veterans. Each day of sobriety, stability, and having a safe roof over their heads is vital.
We desperately need you to help us before Christmas arrives. Even though Christmas is several months away, please donate your gift as soon as possible. You can make a donation online or mail a check and “Adopt-a-Vet” this Christmas season. You can be a part of what we do here at Interlink – restoring homeless veterans to a place of honor and dignity. Together We Can Make A Difference!
Our goal is to provide each of our homeless veterans with the following items:
- Warm Coat
- Sweater/sweatshirt
- Trousers
- Shirt
- Shoes
- Underwear
- Belt
- Recovery Bible
- Big Book
We would like for you to “Adopt-a-Vet” and cover the cost for one or more sets of Christmas gifts, but any amount will be greatly appreciated.
